Approach
Acceptance and Commitment Therapy
I use Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) in my work, which focuses on helping you understand what truly matters to you and then taking steps toward building a life that aligns with those values. ACT is grounded in mindfulness and teaches you how to notice your thoughts without getting “caught up” or pulled in by them. Instead of trying to get rid of difficult thoughts or feelings, we work on creating space from them so they have less control over your actions. This approach also supports learning acceptance of your internal experiences and your life as it is, while still moving forward in ways that feel meaningful and important to you.
Relational
I use a relational approach in my work because evidence shows that the most important part of therapy, and often the foundation for lasting progress, is the relationship between the therapist and the client. I focus on building a genuine, trusting connection where you feel safe, understood, and supported. Through this relationship, we are able to better understand your experiences, work through challenges together, and create space for real change and self-discovery.
Person-Centered
I use a person-centered approach in my work, which means I believe you are the expert of your own life. You know your experiences, your needs, and what feels right for you better than anyone else. My role is to provide a safe, non-judgmental space where you can explore what you want for your life at your own pace, without pressure or direction from me. I am here to listen, support you, and walk alongside you as you figure things out. I also value being authentic and real in the therapy space, because I believe genuine connection helps create a comfortable environment for this work.
