FAQs

What is therapy like?

1

Therapy is a collaborative, supportive space where you can show up as you are and talk about what matters most to you. It centers on what you want to work on and moves at your pace, while we work together to create meaningful goals, build practical tools, and develop a deeper understanding of yourself so you can feel more confident and capable in your everyday life.

How do I know if I need therapy?

2

Knowing whether you “need” therapy can look different for everyone, and the truth is that therapy can be beneficial for anyone. It is a safe, confidential space where you can talk through what is going on in your life with someone who is unbiased and there to support you. Therapy also gives you the opportunity to slow down, invest in yourself, and explore your thoughts and experiences without judgment, while working toward meaningful change and growth.

Will my insurance cover therapy? How do payments work?

3

Yes, I accept a variety of insurance plans, including BCBS, Aetna, Cigna, as well as Medicaid and Medicare plans in both Texas and Florida. I also accept private pay clients at a rate of $140 per hour.

Insurance coverage for therapy can vary depending on your specific plan. Some plans cover mental health counseling at 100%, while others may require a co-pay or out-of-pocket cost. I use a secure platform called Headway, which can help verify your benefits and provide an estimated cost before your first session.

What is your availability? How do I schedule appointments?

4

I have availability throughout the week, with openings in the mornings, around midday, in the afternoons, and limited evening appointments.

If you would like to connect before getting started, I also offer a free consultation call where we can talk through any questions you may have and see if it feels like a good fit. My consultation scheduling link can be found in the “Contact” section.
